WBC 2014

No, as far as I know they are done buying wargames at auction - have been for several years now actually . It has gone from a sellers market to a buyers market for the most part, with few exceptions. I think this is a double edged sword though; without enough dealers to bid stuff up ( not to T&T levels necessarily ) prospective sellers will become gun shy about putting stuff in.

I've always been disappointed about the relative lack of AT stuff that comes through the auction.

Not sure about this year. If I do go, it will only be for the weekend, and given the time it takes to get there, that hardly seems worth it.

Way too soon to tell if I'll be able to make it to WBC or not, but drunken stupor I can pull off with relative ease. Looking forward to seeing you in New York Andy!

Called the Host today and I'm on the waiting list. She gave me pretty good chances of landing a room. If I'm bringing teenagers I'll need to be in the same hotel, but rooms almost always shake loose.

Combat Commander ( for real this year)
Dominant Species ( not to win but just to make sharp intake of breath noises every time that one guy goes to make a move and have him totally second guess himself the whole game )

Arriving Tuesday, not bringing any games, bringing lots of booze.
