Games I am bringing and really want to play this year:

Star Craft
Maria
Clash of Monarchs
Thunder Alley

Tournaments:
Combat Commander ( for real this year)
Dominant Species ( not to win but just to make sharp intake of breath noises every time that one guy goes to make a move and have him totally second guess himself the whole game )

I want to play all the games Repoman is bring.

I also want to play Uba's Ameritrash stuff: Arkham, Talisman, Kemet, etc.

Tournments: Maria ( unless I get in a open gaming game in), GCoACW, Ti3

ANGOOOOOOOAAAAALAAAAA!!!! I'd love to try it in person. I've only played 1 game online. If you need 1 let me know.

I'm looking into getting a room for a couple of nights this year. I went on the waiting list awhile back and they haven't contacted me, but I figure things will open up later instead of earlier. With any luck I'll get a hit when I call tomorrow.

I'll have at least one kid in tow this year if I make it.

The block of rooms that WBC has sold out a while ago but I booked a room a few weeks ago outside of that. The rack rate is maybe $30 more a day. I would suggest calling the Host directly.

Nicely done. Must have opened up right after I called and they told me no dice.

Sag, if you fail in your quest at the Host, I'm at the Ramada down the hill--on the correct side of Rte 30, so no Frogger experience--and it's dirt cheap and the room doors actually open up *inside* the building, instead of the Continental's "motor lodge" approach of doors on the parking lot.

It's actually $80 cheaper for the week than the Continental, and could be $100+ cheaper if you choose a few different options than I did...

King Put!!!!

My wife would like to know what your favorite cookie is. She wants to thank you for the vanilla beans.

Be warned. Unless you show up early in the week there is no guarantee that I won't have eaten them all.

Score!! I'll be there early. My favorites are chocolate chip or simple sugar cookies will lots of good vanilla. But if repowife has a favorite recipe, that will work just fine also.

OK now that the Women's Circle is over (anyone got a knitting pattern for a warm jumper?) we can focus on a roll call. This is what I think I know. If you are not on the list then please add a post and I'll adjust it. If I put you on here and you aren't coming (or you know someone definitely isn't coming), do the same.

Knitting Circle? The words of a cookie-less man. Tall talk today...salty tears of despair later.

Josh Look is out. All the ball busting and coercion in the world couldn't get him to agree to go.

Josh Look is dead to me.

Any Neuroshima Hex fans here? I've not played the cardboard version of the game in eons and I suck at the digital version--so of course I picked up 3.0 and the new units off the Portal website [some of which were already included in the US release, I subsequently discovered; but when making 1 order from Poland and hoping it all made it here safe and sound, I kind of figured it was better to be safe than sorry--but that worked out to my benefit anyway as they threw in all the somewhat-hard-to-find promos they'd been handing out around European cons, like the actual die-cut "Alabama" units and a couple of others by way of a "thanks for buying all our stuff!"]

Anyone interested in playing the old or new version of the game? Should I devote some trunk space to it?

Also, is anyone bringing Wings-, Sails-, or X-Wing-of-Glory? Should I bring anything? I'd really like to try Sails if there's an interested party but that's absolutely something I'd only bring if we had a dedicated time slot as I have to unbox that set and figure out a storage/haulage solution...

Oh, and should I bother to bring Imperial/I2030 or should I just assume there will be a copy we can snag from the library? I enjoyed the hell out of that last year and would dearly love to play it again....

If I make it I will bring Wings of Glory, and plenty for everyone. But -- if I make it it will be Thursday-Friday-Saturday at best. I'd love to get another shot at Sails of Glory since I got wiped out in two turns the first time I played.
