Back into Far Cry 4 now. Haven’t spent a lot of time but I’ve decided to forego all the BS and go straight into bell tower and outpost liberations.

Goal is to stealth the entire game

I just played the first Longinus mission in FarCry 4, where you go into the Himalayas to retrieve some weapons cache. It was the most un-fun things I've done in the game so far.

This game likes to dogpile on you. At one point I got attacked by a snow leopard. I killed it and was skinning it when I was immediately attacked by an eagle.

Still just No Man's Sky here. Been under a lot of stress lately and it's nice to relax with a game that is down for whatever you want to do with it.

Been playing Mad Max which was on PS+

It's a stock standard open world icon spam but the theming is remarkably good. In particular, a lot of the conventions of the genre make a lot more sense in the Mad Max world. Endless hostile enemies, a homicidal protagonist, scarce ammo, sn obsession with transportation...

Mad Max is fun, but falls into the repetitive problem so many open worlds do.

Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 with the kids. Deluxe edition was on sale. While a lot of imagination was put into Chronopolis, and the cast of characters is awesome, I don't feel like it is quite as good a game as Marvel 1. Better than Lego Avengers.

Everspace - Also on sale. just shooting aliens and upgrading ships. I'm sure it will get old after a while, but I'm loving it right now.

State of Decay 2 just released on GamePass, so that will suck up some time I'm sure.

I think I have the new best video game clip of all time. This dethrones Leeroy Jenkins in my opinion. There’s so much going on in this clip that’s funny, I love it

If this was the commercial for the game, everyone would have bought it

I've always found 'more dots' to be funnier than Leeroy Jenkins.

Been playing Zelda: Link to the Past, Super Mario Kart, and Street Fighter II on the SNES. I stood for a friend's wedding the other day and he got all the groomsmen one of those new SNES versions that's a box about 1/4 the size of the original console, original controllers, and 20 games pre-installed. It's been awesome, but really hard on my thumbs.

The Onyxia wipe was always my favorite -- haven't watched it in years. Thanks.

Having never seen that, I had to turn it off before the 1 minute mark.

Of course, I've never played an MMO, so maybe that's why?

I’ve never played one either. That clip cracks me up because of the guy totally raging and I always wonder why people choose to have a new boss in a non-job. To this day I don’t know what DKP is.

I've played a bit of more of State of Decay 2 now. It is mostly good. If you liked the original, then you get more here. The bugs are annoying, and they've released at least 1 bug patch so far.

My first long play ended when my character got stuck in the engine compartment of a vehicle.

It has been a while since I played the first game, but it feels like the base-management part of the game has been emphasized a whole lot more. Harder to balance positive/negatives for morale.

It feels like there is very little interface help. Like the first time I tried to destroy a 'plague' heart I didn't realize that the 'pockets' in your inventory are no different from any other inventory slot. You just get them whether you have a backpack or not. I kept trying to move explosives to the pockets, and you cannot. So rather than switch to explosives via-quick select and throw them like you are supposed to, I was lining up my shot, opening my inventory and pressing 'use' to get the throw animation, which sometimes hit and sometimes did not.

People cannot freaking close gates in the base. so random zombies keep coming in. I think there's been a decent sized zombie attack every night, which is annoying that it is regular like that. I also cannot figure out how to just hunker down in your home until daylight comes.

I don't remember fuel being such a big issue in the first game. Luckily you can draw fuel cans out of your base storage pretty easily...something else I either missed or the game didn't tell me. I played the first game almost entirely with 1 character. This one feels like it forces you to swap characters a whole lot more.

But the core of the game is still the same. go out, scavenge for supplies. help survivors. Missions.
I haven't tried co-op, but one of these weekends i'll actually be home and be able to try. So far I'm having fun with it. I think MSRP is 29.99, and that feels right. It is not a AAA title, but at 30 bucks it is priced right. Still glad I jumped on the cheapo game pass to try it.

ooo...wasteland 2 is on gold gamepass, gotta jump on to another single player RPG and not finish it!

DKP = Dragon Kill Points. It's like a currency managed outside of the game within a big guild. You do these many things for the guild, usually running big raids, to build up points and then spend them to claim the loot that drops for your character. Note: Hazy memory of that being correct, I was never in a big guild and didn't play many MMOs.

You guys have to play cultist simulator on pc. It is *so* good if you play CCGs or LCGs. It's like the computerized version of every adventure card game, but using the computer not to do math but instead to obscure rules and systems for things that should be obscure---the occult.
