I really enjoyed playing 8th edition which has been my most played amount of 40k with like 12 games or so, but the grind of new codexes and rules and such is relentless and I always eventually drift back out. About a month ago interest was again peaking and looking forward to hopefully a game or two and see where we go from there.

Grody, it may be the lighting, but I think the way you've painted the armor on those AoS marines makes them look very sinister. I love it since I find the sigmar knights extremely sinister in lore.

I have a little headcanon happening for these five core Sequitors wherein they keep their helmets off at all times, so they can look into one another's eyes and establish that the lightning womb that resuscitates them after each and every death hasn't stripped away their humanity. Their general, the lady on the Dracolith, is a total chickenshit leader, like Nick Nolte in The Thin Red Line. She seeps getting them killed.
I'm in a slow-grow Path to Glory campaign right now, and they're going to get increasingly surrounded by soulless automatons. They'll win by losing, lose by winning.
Anything to keep myself interested in painting them, as they, like all smooth-armored GW figures, are a bit dull to paint, though I like the result.
