Dusted off the DS to take on the plane ride, and ended up beating Zelda: the phantom hourglass. Probably the coolest DS game I have played.

Batman Arkham Asylum is sold out everywhere it seems. I guess I'll just play some Fallout 3 for a bit

bought Batman Arkham Asylum last night (oh man the Walmart price is crazy at 38 bucks)

i downloaded the new DLC for Mass Effect and will get through that first. I forgot my saved game is on Virmire on Insanity difficulty so I gotta get off this damn planet first. Stupid rocket drones

I played the Arkham Asylum demo last night. It was fun. I couldn't stand how stiffly Batman walks around though.

I also checked out the demo for Crackdown. It had some good ideas, but the physics is way goofy like being blown around like a rag doll by a grenade, or cars flipping over and still able to drive.

But an open world, beat-em up/shoot-em up version of City of Heroes would be cool.

yeah, crackdown is no good. Saint's Row and GTAIV are both way better.

Hey GTA: Chinatown Wars is coming to PSP on October 20th! I'm SO HAPPY. It was the only reason I even considered a DS. yay

speaking of PSP, I tried Neverland card Battles last night and it was a ton of fun. Plays like a mix of CCG and board game. really cool.

then played a ton of Mass Effect, man that is a solid game.

Have you played Culdecept Saga? Is that any good?

Culdcept Saga, in my opinion, is terrible.

But reviewers and the gaming population in general FAR prefer Culdcept SAGA so don't take my word for it.

Just started Mass Effect. Lots of detail and background development, even for a BioWare game.

don't get the 2nd DLC for Mass Effect, it's total garbage.

I'm up to my waist in Batman Arkham Asylum. What an absolutely brilliant game. I can't believe how much fun I'm having. Always trying to decide if I want to further along the story line or solve more of Riddler's puzzles and riddles. I love this game. I have to unhook my 360 today cuz I'm moving tomorrow, but 42" plasma with fancy home theatre system (sweet) arriving on Wednesday at the new place so hopefully I'll be able to have some intense gaming early next week yo.

Steam was running a special on Rebellion games, so I bit.

Picked up Dredd vs. Death: A surprisingly decent FPS with MC-1 as the backdrop and you playing Yours Truly. Lots of unlockables and the joy of using a Lawgiver (AP rounds are my favorite).

and Evil Genius... Haven't played that one yet.

METROID PRIME TRILOGY. Yeah, I think I'm going to go through the whole thing. I'm playing through CORRUPTION first since I never finished it.

What an incredible series of games...there was a part last night where I was in Skytown on Elysia and out on the horizon I could see platforms that I could never reach off in the hazy distance. I didn't think "background art" or "draw distance". _I wondered what was there_.

I'm in a real SHMUP mood right now.

Been playing a bit of Tyrian 2000, Raptor, and Einhander.

Downloaded some SNES games: R-Type, Gradius, UN Squadron, Axelay, and Space Megaforce.

Einhander is an old favorite and it still absolutely rocks. Some of the SNES ones are really, cool too.

Man, I used to play the shit out of R-Type in the arcades. That's' one of those games where they may as well only give you one life, though. As soon as you get toasted three or four stages in, the rest of the lives go by in seconds.

Lifeforce was a great one as well.

For me, it's LEGO Wii games with the kids. The older boy is scouring Indiana Jones for the last pieces of stuff, and we're slowly working through Batman.
