A Kickstarter A Day

Atheris Games will be backing a new Kickstarter every day for the entire month of October. 

Today is October 2nd and I noticed something quite interesting. I have started out the month by backing two Kickstarter campaigns. I backed one yesterday and another today. Now this gives me the perfect opportunity to start a one month project that will both crush my finances and require me to keep a more watchful eye on the cool things on Kickstarter – backing one project a day for the entire month of October.

I think I shall set a few ground rules. First, I am going to leave myself open and therefore allow myself to pledge to any campaign, not only gaming campaigns (though that is where the majority of pledges will go). Second, any amount of money is ok. I would prefer to support at the optimal level for getting the creation, but if need be I will throw a few dollars here and there to show that I believe in it. This is about fully embracing Kickstarter as a medium and supporting creators who are doing incredibly cool things.

My company, Atheris Games, is working on a Kickstarter right now that is set to go live October 15th and it is one of the hardest things I have ever done. A ton of work goes into Kickstarter campaigns, most of which is never seen by the backer. These campaigns take time, money and an incredible amount of blood, sweat and tears. My team and I have put so much work into our campaign and I want to support those that I find have done the same. I want to help make someone else’s dreams come true, just as I hope someone will make mine come true with our campaign for Cul-De-Sac Conquest later in the month.

Will your Kickstarter make the list? My idea is each day I want to post to our social media with which campaign we decided to back that day. It should be fun.
