Looks like another deck-building game will beat Dominion to the punch: www.ascensiongame.com/news-archive/item/...phone-and-ipod-touch

I'm sure it won't be as unbelievably awesome as that Indiana Jones app, though.

My wife and I have been playing the shit out of Dungeon Raid. It's so addictive that she actually had to delete it recently.

And on a side note. Has anyone heard about some Indiana Jones themed puzzle game? I've heard it's quite ok.

Was looking up Puzzle Quest and also added Puzzle Chess , which seems pretty cool so far...

Nice spot on that one. Yet another game I'll likely end up cherry-picking from this thread. That would make four or five, I think.

Sidebar: could someone give me a heads-up if they run into a cool Indiana Jones-themed game? Thanks in advance.

I heard that Ken B's going to give us a review of some Indiana Jones game in his big comeback special. It should be epic.

Yes, you should get The Blocks Cometh. It's really good. Blocks fall, you have to manuever your little dude to try to climb them as they fall. He's got a wall jump, a wall slide, and a double jump. You can also shoot the blocks, but it doesn't seem very useful to do so. It's Super Meat Boy hard, too.

This and League of Evil are two of the best action games on the App Store, IMO.

I've been playing The Quest (Gold Version) over the past few days. Some good old-fashioned turn-based CRPGing.

I'm playing through the Catan HD campaign ... kind of comical, since:

1. I installed Windows on my Intel Mac last year just to play the Catan PC campaign;

2. I played through the campaign on the Mac when that version was finally released;

3. I recently started the campaign on the iPhone, since that version was released before the HD version.

If I didn't know better, I'd say I might have some sort of issue here ...

A nice effort to get all known iOS boardgames into an easy-to-read database:

(Apologies if posted before; I think it's pretty new-ish, though)

BATTLEHEART

It's a 'dungeon crawl' without the exploration (you clear the screen of monsters to get to the next level). You control a party of up to 4 heroes of different clases (you can hire more). All the regular shopping and leveling stuff is here.

Everything is done by selecting a character and dragging. Drag a character to where you want to move. Drag the character to a monster and he will attack it. Drag the cleric to a hero and he will heal him etc. So the game is basically keeping control of what your 4 guys are doing while they are getting beaten on.
Really well done and highly recommended.

Warring States - Original (not the MMO): I used to play this a lot years ago on my Pocket PC, and was wondering if they might have made it into an app. Sure enough, they did. Doesn't hold up as well as I'd hoped, but it's still a pretty good turn-based very lite wargame with a little bit of a civ-building element. It's free, but there is a small ad bar on the bottom of the screen. Definitely worth trying out, though, if you haven't played it before.

Bang! and Bang! HD just keep getting better. The latest update added powers for 10 of the characters, which is a nice start toward finally having a full-featured version of the game.

I'm playing the hell out of this right now and having a blast. I wouldn't mind some GameCenter support, but maybe that's also coming in a future update ...

I finally got to borrow an ipod touch, and got to play the demo version of Neuroshima Hex!. It's great, and if I ever manage to afford an ipad2 I'll get it immediately.
